The company Welsch Bausanierung is engaged in interior design and renovation work in and around Ulm (Germany). Initially, the client wanted a website redesign, as he was unsatisfied with the existing one. The previous developer had partially reworked the old design at the time of the request, so the first step was to make improvements and offer to implement basic website optimisation.

The first step was to assess the site’s current state, generate documents to fix errors on the site and prepare everything for a safe migration. There was a lot of joint work between the SEO specialist and the developer.

In the process of transitioning from the old design to the new one, many technical problems left by the previous developer were solved.

Checks were carried out at all stages of the work to minimise losses and rework after transfer.

Transition to SEO website promotion in Germany

After development and basic optimisation, we did a free website analysis for the client; after reviewing it, he decided to order an SEO promotion with our company, and we started the work.

First of all, we developed an SEO promotion strategy taking into account the niche and localisation of the business. We started collecting a semantic core to cover both existing and new company services.

Having analysed the current content on the site and competitors, we decided to rewrite texts on the whole site in addition to new services. While the preparatory work for filling the pages was being done, metadata was generated and added to the site to start getting the first results.

Due to the small locality of the business, we decided to launch a blog on the site. In parallel with developing services, we started analysing competitors, selecting topics and adding new thematic articles to the site.

Link profile optimisation

The site’s link profile was poorly optimised, and toxic links were present, which we gradually cancelled.

We selected high-quality sites with high performance and maximum thematic for link optimisation. Periodically, we diluted the profile with crowd-sourced links to improve search engine confidence and the naturalness of the profile.

Content optimisation and future steps

Filling of the site is in process, images have been added to the site, and the preparation of Q&A blocks and tables for greater coverage of key queries and increasing behavioural factors are in the works.

Results

Given the GEO (localised business) – the site collects a small amount of traffic but is gradually growing, with the existing level bringing conversions that have high margins in this niche.

Conclusion

The project has successfully passed the website development stage and moved on to comprehensive SEO work. We corrected technical defects as much as possible and developed a strategy to attract a target audience considering the limited GEO. We continue to promote the site in Germany and plan to implement new works in the future.
